NOW LEASING OFFICE SPACE FOR 2023
THE BUILDING
Originally constructed c.1926, The Enterprise Lumber & Silo, located at 211 Main Street, North Tonawanda, was the final lumber mill standing in what used to be known as the “Lumber Capital of the World.” The space is in the process of being repurposed into 6,700 square feet of modern, Class A, office space. The project is being spearheaded by an accomplished, local female architect, Kelley Culp-Burton, AIA (KCB Architecture), who will move her firm into 3,000 sf of the building upon completion.
The vision for the building is to foster a business-to-business design service collaborative and work environment for emerging businesses seeking office space that is an outward reflection of neighborhood revitalization. This state-of -the-art carbon neutral facility will also provide space for larger conversations including community presentations, special interest symposiums, evenings lectures, and create an educational platform for collaboration with North Tonawanda High School’s Architecture and Engineering Academy program. The Enterprise Lumber & Silo development advances the NT MomeNTum Project and upon completion will be the catalyst for development along the newly enhanced northern entrance of Main Street. The project is expected to be completed and fully operational by Summer 2023 and is currently accepting tenant applications.
ARCHITECTURE
& ENGINEERING ACADEMY
We have plans to partner with North Tonawanda High School. We will host tours, workshops, and lectures for students participating in the unique and selective pre-college program for aspiring young architects and engineers.

B2B DESIGN COLLECTIVE
Ideally, the tenants occupying the building will all be involved in design or otherwise creative fields. With this in mind, we've designed open, shared interior spaces that foster collaborative learning and the sharing of ideas.
COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT
Just steps from the heart of downtown, Enterprise Lumber & Silo will serve as an integral part of the MomeNTum Project by providing space for community leaders and activists discuss future plans.
SUSTAINABILITY
KCB Architecture has taken several steps to make this restoration as environmentally friendly and carbon neutral as possible. Some of the features of EL&S include Geothermal Heating and Cooling, Green Roofs, and Solar Panels.
A RICH HISTORY
Known as the “Lumber Capital of the World” from the mid-19th century through the 1970s, the City of North Tonawanda has a rich and storied history. Located only 10 miles north of the City of Buffalo, and 14 miles south of the Canadian border, North Tonawanda was home to the largest port along the Great Lakes during the height of the Erie Canal trade and transportation surge of the 19th century.
In addition to its industrial history, North Tonawanda was also the birthplace of the Herschell-Spillman Company, North America's leading manufacturer of carousels for much of the 20th century. During this time Herschell was able to attract other businesses to the area including what would eventually become the Rudolph Wurlitzer Company, one of the largest musical instrument manufacturing plants in the world. Due to its convenient location along the Canal, abundance of natural resources, and neighborly blue-collar charm, hundreds of manufacturing (and other) businesses have found success in North Tonawanda throughout the centuries.

We are experiencing an utterly unique and exciting time to be in North Tonawanda! Over the past decade, the City has seen significant improvements in housing, parks and other green spaces, private businesses, and infrastructure thanks to The MomeNTum Project and several million dollar investments from public and private groups. The MomeNTum Project has already produced a thriving corridor of restaurants, shops, galleries, and newly renovated residential properties, all anchored by the Nationally Registered, Historic Riviera Theater on Webster Street.
